NEVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL DETAILS SUCH AS;
PASSWORDS ACCOUNT DETAILS PHONE BACK INSTITUTIONS on another phone, if you can't ensure the line is dead before calling out. Best advice if you are totally unsure is to ignore it.
When making online purchases look for the padlock in the search bar.
AVIOD making B.A.C.S. payments to unknown sources Pay online for goods by credit card, Paypal or other secure portals.Paying by credit card gives you some protection.
H.M.R.C. WILL NOT PHONE TO SAY THERE'S AN WARRNT FOR YOUR ARREST
Banks & building societies never call customers to ask you to transfer money or confirm PIN or Passwords. The Police WILL NOT ASK YOU TO WITHDRAW MONEY TO BE COLLECTED BY AN OFFICER
Do not give your PIN number to anyone else Do not write your pin down and put it in your purse or wallet with your bank cards, try to have different PIN numbers for each card. Should you suspect fraud PHONE your bank A.S.A.P. and BLOCK your cards. Better to be safe than sorry. Vary your passwords.
Do not DOWNLOAD anything from a memory stick (especially into a secure computer system, this can open up a path for Trojan malware ) Only download from verified sources. Unsure DON'T
DON'T LET STRANGERS INTO YOUR HOUSE, especially right now. Put the chain on the door if you have one, if you get harassed by unwanted callers tell them you are going to call the police. Stay safe & ring the police on 101, unless it's a life threatening emergency, then ring 999
